    Hi, I am using throughout several websites with different themes the very handy plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-tooltips/ and in every theme it works perfectly. It’s very handy because one needs just add class=”tooltips” to a link’s title attribute.
    Examples: http://trianglerider.com or http://nun.graphics/is/

    Only in your theme it doesn’t work at all …

    I know that support for external plugins is beyond the scope of a theme’s support, but can you help me with that ? Because it’s a jquery plugin, I guess, that only one rule needs to be changed.

    Hi, please open js/main.js and add:

    `new jQuery.Zebra_Tooltips(jQuery(‘.tooltips’), {
    ‘background_color’: ‘#000000’,
    ‘color’: ‘#ffffff’,
    ‘max_width’: 250,
    ‘opacity’: .95,
    ‘position’: ‘center’
    });`
    right after this:
    jQuery("#foot #navi a").aLinkClick();

    It works fine, but then I can read the full site-url of every page. Before it was only the main-url (which I prefer)

    Only when I c&p the code, that you gave above, then the tooltip appears – but with the issue persisting. Also the audio link on the timeline is gone.
    I tried the code looking the same like you advised (see attached pic) by retyping all the single quotes – then the tooltips don’t work at all.

    So it must have something to do with reading/interpreting these damn single quotes, but I don’t get it where or how …

    🙂 … yes, it is exactly the code that you gave at the beginning. As I wrote before … I copy & pasted it and ONLY then the tooltips will also appear. It can be seen in http://the.way.is/appreciation/
    But problems persists including the audio-links, that doesn’t show up completely.

    If I edit the code by re-typing the single quotes, then the tooltips will not appear. Very strange.

    I removed now the apostrophes at the beginning and end, but this doesn’t make any difference.

    And what IS the correct script ????

    Until now I ONLY copy and pasted the code that you gave me at the beginning of this thread … I didn’t change anything.
    Obviously I am doing something wrong, but WHAT ?

    Hi, I have checked your site the.way.is and found that the tooltip already show on b|w image but with no chars. please manage add text to title attribute with the ‘a’ tag. something should be like this:
    <a class="tooltips" title="blablabla" href="http://the.way.is" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-450" src="http://nun.graphics/0_WP/wp-content/uploads/bw-250-m.gif" alt="" width="30" height="14"></a>

    Hi, please try this:
    -remove the script from main.js and refresh you page see what happens, if still not work,
    -wrap the scirpt within <scirpt> and </scirpt> and place it to file footer.php bofore </body>

    Probably you meant <script> and not <scirpt> .. 🙂

    When the script is removed from main.js the tooltips don’t show up (of course, otherwise we wouldn’t have that long thread)
    …. wrapping it in a script in footer.php didn’t help either.

    Is ok, obviously these are somehow the limits within the TRAVEL theme … 🙁

    forgot to add … on the copyright the tooltip shows up. Only within the timeline it doesn’t work.
