    Hi

    None of the images on my website can be pinned by pinterest.
    I have contacted pinterest and they believe the fault to be the website blocking pinterest:

    Thanks for surfacing this issue. We tested this on our end and it looks like an issue with the back-end configuration of https://www.richardharrod.com. Unfortunately, there’s nothing else we can do on our end. We suggest reviewing the back-end configuration to make sure that there are no blocks or server issues at play.

    So sorry for this inconvenience.

    Is there a setting the Air theme which is blocking this? My other wordpress sites not using this theme all pin fine.

    Thanks
    Richard

    Hi,

    I don’t understand your question. There is not pin function on default browser.
    How to pin the image? If you use some browser plugin/extension, what’s the plugin/extension?

    ps: There is social share section for single post(like the icons below the content: https://www.uiueux.com/wp/air/base-visual-identity/). I find the section is not activated.

    Hi

    My apologies for being unclear.
    If you try to pin an image via pinterest:
    https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin-builder/ -> Save from website
    or using the pinterest browser button (extension for chrome etc)
    I comes up with an error “oops, cannot save this page”

    I suspect even with the browser button enabled this will not work as something is blocking it

    Hi,

    I tested the Pin extension and https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin-builder/ -> Save from website
    The Pin extension can work on single posts, but not on portfolio list. It is conflict with the portfolio list HTML structure. It is not easy to make it work.

    The pin-builder can work, I didn’t see the error “opps…”. But it only pin the site logo image, maybe it only check the 1st image of webpage. Could you paste the website URL what works within pin-builder? I could check the frontend codes. Thanks!

    Regards!

    Hi sorry for the delayed response.

    My page http://www.interestment.com works fine, you can pin anything from that.
    My friends squarespace also is fine:
    http://www.caonstudio.com/work

    Thanks!

    I checked the 2 sites, they can pined(extension for chrome) both.
    I don’t know how the pin-builder work. Even the http://www.caonstudio.com/work can not be Save from website by https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin-builder/
    I think maybe the HTML structure. The Air theme structure is more complex than the 2 sites.

    There is solution to make the homepage show pin icon(extension for chrome):

    step 1. Find the functions/interface/interace-function.php, line 657: update to:
    <a href="<?php echo esc_url($get_permalink); ?>" title="<?php the_title(); ?>" class="grid-item-mask-link grid-item-open-url" <?php echo wp_kses_post($airtheme_link_item_newtab_target); ?>><img src="<?php echo esc_url($thumb_url); ?>"></a>

    step 2.
    Please paste the custom css code to “Appearance > Customize : Additional CSS”

    .grid-item-mask-link > img {object-fit:cover;  width: 100%;
    height: 100%; -webkit-transition: all .5s;
    -moz-transition: all .5s;
    transition: all .5s; }
    .grid-item-mask-link > img:hover{opacity:0; }
    .brick-content{ opacity:0; }
