When people click on portfolio and/or blog items they’re lost as the corresponding item in the main menu isn’t highlighted, as happens when visitors are on a specific page.
Is there some kind of workaround for this? Or even beter, a crumbtrail option available?
Or, when you direct me to a Plugin, which one?
Did you mean that the menu item should be highlighted on current page?
It is on demo page: http://ximudesign.com/center/blog/
please leave your page url, I’ll check it.
You’re right, it’s on the demo page, but just when a visitor hits the Portfolio button. When you’re a level ‘down’ the menu item isn’t highlighted anymore.
Here’s the page url: http://keizerid.nl/portfolio/
So some kind of crumb trail and the highlighted menu item would be great.
Did you mean — > When user open single portfolio page like(http://keizerid.nl/portfolio/combinatie-werk-en-logeerkamer/), the “Portfolio” menu item should be highlighted
Yes, that’s exactly what I mean. When a visitor hits Portfolio in the main menu the item is highlighted, but when hitting a specific Portfolio item the highlight is gone and visitors are ‘lost’.
Same for shop items.
So: http://keizerid.nl/portfolio/ shows a highlighted Portfolio in the menu
But: http://keizerid.nl/portfolio/combinatie-werk-en-logeerkamer/ isn’t.
Because there is not relation with “post” and “page” base on WordPress default rule, but “post” and “category” has.
You could set “Category” instead of “Page” as the menu item:
If still want go to “portfolio” page(off course it is) when click “Portfolio” menu item, use a plugin to re-direct it(https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-301-redirects/).
