    I am using the Flowfolio theme and also the ‘The Events Manager’ plugin to display a list of upcoming events.

    My events page exists at http://movewelltkd.co.uk/events/ and displays ok there. However, when I add this page to my Flowfolio menu the link no longer works. You can see this if you visit my site (at http://movewelltkd.co.uk/) and click the ‘Events’ menu item. As you’ll see when you mouseover the menu item, the link is the same as the direct link, but when you click it only the first event is displayed.

    hi, please add below script to footer.php before body tag for a try:

    <script>jQuery("#menu-item-427 a").click(function() { window.location.replace("http://movewelltkd.co.uk/events\"); return false;});</script>
    (when you copy the script, please remove the ‘\’ in the link)
    any problem, please let me known.

    Hi,

    I am having the same problem as dmjarvis. I want to use custom page links (e.g. to tripadvisor) in my menu but the theme, even though the option is still available in the menu admin, doesn’t seem to support that.

    Any chance I can get this fixed anyway? Hope you can help!

    Thx in advance.

    Sorry, I am building my website on local server so cannot give you the site url.

    It seems that the theme tries to open the external link within the template instead of opening a new window and displaying the tripadvisor website there.

    Hopes this gives you enough to work with?

    Thx again.

    Hi,
    1. find the menu id(assuming is 123)
    2. add below codes to footer.php before body tag

    <script>jQuery("#menu-item-123 a").click(function() { window.location.replace("http://where.to.go\"); return false;});</script>

    Thx!

    One more thing: what code do I add to that line to open the link in a new window?

    Again, thx in advance!

    Hi, please change script to this:
    <script>jQuery("#menu-item-123 a").click(function() { jQuery(this).attr("href","#\");window.open("http://where.to.go","_blank\"); return false;});</script>
